Questions, answered

Google Play asks personal developer accounts created after November 13, 2023 to run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for the last 14 days before they can apply for production access. Google then reviews the application, usually within about a week.

Dozenship is for real testing. Testers opt in through Google Play’s own closed testing, use your app and send feedback. We never trade reviews or ratings, and we remove accounts that fake activity. Google decides whether to grant production access.

Dozenship is free while it’s in beta. You earn Sparks by testing other developers’ apps and spend them to list your own.

To confirm how long you spent in the app you’re testing, so developers get engaged testers. Dozenship only looks at time spent in the apps you test. Your other apps never leave your phone.

Yes. Closed testing happens on Google Play, so you need an Android device signed in with the Google account you use on Play.
